Available roles for 2025 Municipal Election
The Brookfield Republican Town Committee (BRTC) is seeking qualified candidates to run for the following offices and/or commissions for the November 2025 Municipal Election:
First Selectman
Selectman
Board of Finance (BOF)
Board of Education (BOE)
Zoning and Planning Commission
Board of Assessment Appeals (BAA)
Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA)
The BRTC’s Vacancy Committee will conduct interviews with interested candidates in the coming weeks before presenting their recommended slate of candidates to the full 35-member Republican Town Committee. Terms of service varies with each position.
Interested Brookfield citizens should contact Stephen Harding Senior (Chairman ofthe BRTC’s Vacancy Committee: 203-770-4424) or send an email to the BRTC vacancy committee. The contact deadline for this process is March 31, 2025.
Recommendations of the BRTC will be presented at a Republican caucus this July, which is open to all Brookfield registered Republicans, location and time TBD. The BRTC Leadership team would again like to thank their members and supporters for their enthusiastic participation and commitment to the current Town Committee.

The process to change your political party affiliation is usually the same as the process to register to vote.
Some states require you to declare your party affiliation when registering, while others do not track your party affiliation. If your state tracks party affiliation, there will be a question on your voter registration from for you to declare your political party affiliation.
Some states require voters to register with a party affiliation to vote in primary elections. In general elections (which typically take place in November), you can vote for any candidate you prefer, regardless of party affiliation.
