Convention for Chief Deputy Senate Republican Leader Eric Berthel was elected to represent the 32nd State Senatorial District in a special election on Feb. 28, 2017. The district now includes the towns of Bethel, Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Middlebury, Oxford, Roxbury, Seymour, Southbury, Washington, Watertown and Woodbury. He was elected by the people of the 32nd District to serve a fourth term in 2022.

Stephen Harding was elected to his first term representing the 30th District in the State Senate in 2022 after four terms serving the people of the 107th House District. The 30th State Senate District is the largest geographically in the state comprising the communities of Bethlehem, Brookfield, Canaan, Cornwall, Goshen, Kent, Litchfield, Morris, New Fairfield, New Milford, North Canaan, Salisbury, Sharon, Sherman, Torrington, Warren, Washington, Winchester.
